Jeremy Hilton said: "Flogging off the Bishop's College site at this time is short sighted. We will need a new school in a few years' time. "This site should be land banked for this purpose. If a new school is to be built it is better that it is in walking distance for local children."

Linda said: "I am pleased the Conservatives have pledged to repair Innsworth Lane before April next year. "This is victory for local residents who are angry at the under- investment in roads an pavements in Longlevens. Just one road has been fixed this year so far. More needs to be done."
