Tories determined to flog off the Bishop’s College site

28 May 2017

The Tories are refusing to halt the sale of the former Bishop's College site off Estcourt Road despite plans for major house building over the next twenty years. Information provided to Jeremy Hilton indicates that there will be a need for a new comprehensive school needed in the north of Gloucester in a few years' time. Jeremy Hilton said: "Flogging off the Bishop's College site at this time is short sighted. We will need a new school in a few years' time. "This site should be land banked for this purpose. If a new school is to be built it is better that it is in walking distance for local children."
