
Fears over city council finances
Liberal Democrats councillors warning that any further financial shocks during 2023/24 would lead to services being cut to balance the books.
Councillors Ashley Bowkett and Joshua Taylor are part of the Liberal Democrat team representing Barnwood.
Ashley, who lives in Barnwood, was first elected in a by-election in 2019.
He made his home in Gloucester in 2011 after spending eight years working in China, Singapore, and the US.
He is an award-winning documentary producer/director, and has worked in international television production, broadcasting, and distribution since the early 2000s.
Joshua also lives in Barnwood and works as a teacher in a local secondary school. He was first elected in May 2024.
County Councillor David Brown represents Barnwood & Hucclecote on the county council.

The city council announced the move as part of the phased reopening of leisure services in Gloucester after the collapse of the Aspire Trust last month.
