Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.

Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.

Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.

He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

Update on DPE (Decriminalised Parking Enforcement)

Enforcement of on-street parking rules by the new "parking attendants" employed by Epsom & Ewell Borough Council has now started. It is understood that a number of "Penalty Notices" have now been issued. The actual effect on nuisance parking is not yet clear.

Colin Ross, Liberal Democrat candidate at the recent General Election, today presented some young volunteers with their awards of outstanding achievement at KIC FM. Liberal Democrats visit the Wolverhampton UK Islamic Mission branch

As part of the National Mosque Open Day, Wolverhampton Liberal Democrats visited the Wolverhampton branch of the UK Islamic Mission on Newhampton Road East. The event was attended by Eileen Birch (Secretary of the Wolverhampton Liberal Democrats) Robin Lawrence (Chair of Wolverhampton South West Liberal Democrats), Lexi Lawrence (St. Peter's ward candidate 2004) and Colin Ross (Wolverhampton South West General Election 2005).

Epping Forest District Council By-Elections- Lib Dem Candidates Announced

Two by-elections have been called in Epping Forest District. The first will be on Thursday, 23 June 2005 in Lower Sheering Ward on the border with Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire and the other will be on Thursday 30 June in Chigwell Village Ward, whose south-eastern end is on the border with the London Borough of Redbridge.

Airport Expansion Could Impair Reading in Children

A new report published in The Lancet has concluded that exposure to high levels of aircraft noise could impair the development of reading and memory in children. Residents of Greatstone and Littlestone have been fighting expansion plans for Lydd Airport due to the proposed increase in the number of flights and size of aircraft that will approach the airport only a few hundred feet above local houses, and the report adds new concerns.
