Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.

Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.

Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.

He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

Liberal Democrats put Iraq back on political agenda

Liberal Democrat Leader Charles Kennedy, with Sir Menzies Campbell and Shirley Williams, have today called for a full public inquiry into the way the Prime Minister took the country to war, along the lines of the Franks Inquiry after the Falklands War. This should be an inquiry that examines the full political, legal and strategic advice given to the Ministers before the war, and the decisions taken on the basis of that advice.

Tories In Radio No Show

Voters in North Wiltshire were treated to a lively debate on BBC Radio Wiltshire on Monday morning. However, despite the invitation being open to all candidates in North Wiltshire the Tory candidate, James Gray, did not attend the event. As such the Tories were unable to put out the negative message they have been attempting to convey and heard from the only real candidate for North Wiltshire, Paul Fox.
