Lib Dem councillors secure Budget wins
Lib Dem councillors secured big wins on road repairs, road safety and protecting education and teacher funding in this year's Council budget.
Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.
Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.
Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.
He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

After several parents were in touch about a bin lorry recently reversing into the access road at Clermiston Primary at drop-off time, the local Lib Dem team raised these concerns with the Council.
The Liberal Democrats have written to the UK Attorney General, calling on him to publish the legal advice provided to the Government regarding seizing the frozen Russian assets held in the UK.
All three new Community Councils covering the Drum Brae/Gyle ward received enough nominations to be formed.
Commenting on news that the Safer Phones Bill was watered down to gain government support, Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Science, Innovation and Technology Victoria Collins MP said:
