Worries over Norfolk House development

20 Jun 2018

Norfolk House on Spa Road is a grade II listed building, which
has been empty for at least eight years. It was formerly the
RAFA Club.
In 2011, planning permission was granted for changes to the main
building with an extension at the back to create a 14 flat housing
development. In 2015, this permission was renewed for another
three years.
Local residents has raised concerns with Rebecca about what
looks like an abandoned project.
Rebecca Trimnell said: "It's a worry that the construction seems
to be going so slowly. Norfolk House is a listed building. We need
the approved development to be completed as originally planned.
"I have written to the city council to ask if they know why building
work is progressing so slowly and whether the owners are meeting
the conditions on the planning permission."
