TWO TEENAGERS CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH VEHICLE CRIME

Officers in Gloucester have been taking part in extra patrols following a rise in vehicle crimes in the Longlevens and Elmbridge areas.
Shortly after 5am on March 11 officers on patrol arrested a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.
Albert Surmaj, 18 and of Pembroke Street, Gloucester and a 17-year-old boy from Gloucester have been charged with two counts of theft from a motor vehicle. They have both been bailed to court later this month.
In February more than 40 vehicle related crimes were reported to police in these areas, compared to an average of four incidents over previous months.
