Second demo to be held in Gloucester against Boris
Campaigners against the decision of Prime Minister Boris Johnson to seek the suspension of Parliament will be holding a second demonstration in Gloucester in a matter of days tonight.
Protesters will be gathering outside Shire Hall in Gloucester between 5.30pm and 6.30pm in a show of defiance at the Prime Minister's attempts to silence Parliament.
Responding to reports that Gloucester MP Richard Graham will be addressing the crowd, the city's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate Dr Rebecca Trimnell said: "I'm pleased to hear that Gloucester's MP will be showing his face at this evening's protest.
"I am however bitterly disappointed that he'll be backing Boris' Government risking our country in taking us out of the EU with a 'No Deal'.
"The last thing this city needs is an MP that sucks up to a seemingly tin pot dictator such as Mr Johnson who has shown nothing but utter contempt towards our parliamentary democracy.
"In my opinion it seems our MP is more concerned with being deselected than our country's future with Europe.
"Gloucester deserves better."
