Rebecca Trimnell to lead the Liberal Democrat campaign for a better Westgate

20 Jun 2018

As the Liberal Democrats re-launch their Spotlight newsletter across Westgate ward, the party has announced that Rebecca Trimnell will lead the fight to make the area a better place to live.

Local resident Rebecca believes that the Tories who currently represent the ward on the city council have become complacent. "They need some serious competition, otherwise Westgate will continue to get a raw deal from the city council," said Rebecca Trimnell.

Westgate ward covers the City Centre, St. Oswald's Park, Hempsted, Gloucester Park and The Docks. Rebecca is joined by county councillor, Jeremy Hilton who represents St. Oswald's Park polling district. He said: "Liberal Democrats have a strong tradition representing Westgate on the council such as former councillors Roger Welshman, Patsy Aplin and Gordon Heath. "They all did a brilliant job speaking up for the ward. Rebecca Trimnell will lead the way again."
