Progress on issues at St Oswald’s Park

16 Aug 2020

Your Lib Dem Spotlight team has been in contact with Persimmon about various issues related to St. Oswald's Park housing estate.

George Barwood said: "It has been confirmed that the link road behind Homesense is close to being adopted by the county council.

"This will allow progress on the adoption of the main spine road, Longhorn Avenue. However, progress is slow on getting Gavel Way behind Tesco adopted."

Councillor Jeremy Hilton added: "Persimmon are still maintaining the open spaces as these haven't been handed over to the city council yet.

"The developers have planning permission to remove the four tree pits at Longhorn Square. The

pits will be filled in at same time as remedial works are carried out on the estate to the satisfaction of the county council before the Longhorn Avenue area is adopted.

"Similarly, Bonnies Lane will get its top surface at the same time as other snagging works are done."
