Petition launched over the state of the roads on The Leazes estate
A petition has been launched for road improvements in an area of Elmbridge.
The roads on The Leazes estate are full of potholes and are in a very poor condition.
The petition has been launched by Sarah Sawyer, the Liberal Democrat county council candidate for Longlevens Division, after speaking with local residents.
Every month she is reporting to the county council potholes for repair on Elmleaze and Sandyleaze as the two carriageways are in a bad way.
Only recently Mrs Sawyer highlighted Elmleaze's dirty dozen potholes and many have still not been filled in.
"Nearly every month the Lib Dems report potholes for repair along Elmleaze," the mother-of-three said.
"Sandyleaze is getting just as bad, and I have launched this petition to show the county council that local residents want their roads repaired.
"The surfaces of Elmleaze and Sandyleaze are in such a poor condition that they need a complete resurface."
