PEOPLE URGED TO JOIN THE BIG SPRING CLEAN
Residents, community groups and businesses are being asked to roll up their sleeves and get involved in the annual Gloucester Spring Clean.
It is taking place on April 6 and the Spring Clean aims to encourage people to come together to help make the city sparkle.
A litter pick is being held in the city centre and businesses around the city have been sent letters asking them to get involved.
Tasks include painting, cleaning, simple maintenance and weeding.
Alternatively businesses are invited to spruce up the front of their own property or hold their own mini event on the day.
Gloucester City Council is also appealing for other groups around the city to get together and hold their own big Spring Clean.
Groups will be given provide advice, support and assistance to help make the events as successful as possible.
Over the last few years, the Spring Clean has seen businesses, community groups, volunteers, residents and city council staff getting together to improve our public places,
Anyone wanting to take part in the city centre which runs from 10am-3pm should meet outside the Guildhall on Eastgate Street.
