North Upton Lane crossing safety fencing finally in place

The footpath and cyclepath approach to the crossing on North Upton Lane near the junction with Lilliesfield Avenue originally had fencing as a safety measure to slow down those looking to cross the road.
Councillor David Brown said: "This fencing fell into disrepair and I asked the council time and time again to make repairs.
"There was some dispute over responsibility for the work but that has now been resolved and I am delighted with the new fencing.
"Not only has this brought the safety improvements that local people expect but this sturdy fence also smartens up the area."
