News from across Barnwood

8 Jul 2020

Ashley, Joanne and David have continued to work on resolving local issues, responding to residents' concerns big and small.

- Numerous potholes have been reported with many of the largest now filled, eg. North Upton Lane and on the Barnwood Road.

- Street lighting faults reported, damaged pavements and utility covers reported, tree maintenance problems reported and many requests to cut back vegetation.

- Alerted police to antisocial behaviour and incidents of bogus salesmen / women.

- Residents can register for Gloucestershire Constabulary updates on local criminal activity at: www.yourcommunityalerts.co.uk

- We have had reports of some bikes (those with a low steel content) not picked up by traffic light loops. This is frustrating for cyclists left waiting at a red light and are a potential safety hazard. If this has happened to you please let us know and we will arrange for the detection system to be checked.

- The road surface in parts of Quail Close is very poor but Gloucestershire Highways are currently unwilling to consider it for repair - we will keep pushing on this.
