Extra long pothole on Hempsted Lane joins many across the county

20 Jun 2018

The Tories have been in charge at Shire Hall for thirteen years. In that
time, we have seen the county's roads deteriorate with potholes
appearing all over Gloucestershire. The local minor works budget has
just been slashed by 31%.
"Despite what everyone can see with their own eyes the Tories are still
in denial about the state of our roads and footways," says Rebecca
Trimnell. "Liberal Democrat councillors have been challenging the
Conservative administration to do better.
"Locally, I am calling for the roads in Westgate to get their fair share
of budget spent on repairs.
"I have recently, reported the extra long pothole that has appeared on
Hempsted Lane."
Rebecca would like Westgate ward residents to report potholes or worn
out footways to her so that she can challenge the county council to fix
them.
