A dog waste bin in Quedgeley has deteriorated to the point where its contents have begun to spill out onto the path causing a public health hazard.

Quedgeley Liberal Democrat campaigner Liam Harries first reported the bin to the council in autumn 2019 when the bin had begun to deteriorate and was dropping sharp metal fragments on the path.

Nearly three months later the bin had still not been replaced and the condition has worsened to the extent where rotting dog waste is now spilling out onto the path.

"This failure by the city council to keep Quedgeley clean is unacceptable," said Mr Harries.

"I have written to the leader of the council urging his administration to ensure more is done to stop this from happening again."
