Council grants available to set up a warm space in Gloucester

16 Dec 2022

Community groups in Gloucester can apply for funding to help set up a warm space for those struggling with heating bills this winter.
The grants are being offered to those that open their doors for free at least once a week, so that local people who need them can keep warm, meet a friendly face and enjoy a chat.
Community groups, faith organisations and community interest companies can apply for a grant of up to £1,000 from Gloucester City Council to set up a warm space.
The funding can be used for running costs such as energy bills, refreshments or events or activities.
Each Warm Space must be available for at least one four hour session every week.
