Conservative councillor resigns from council causing by-election
Conservative Councillor Clive Walford has quit the city council - meaning there will be a by-election in Longlevens in a few weeks.
The Liberal Democrats are setting the pace to elect our new councillor to work alongside
Councillor Linda Castle.
In May's election Lib Dem Sarah Sawyer was just 62 votes from joining Linda on the council, while Jade Emraz finished in fifth place - only 103 votes behind Sarah.
Since being elected, Linda Castle has been working closely with Sarah and Jade.
Councillor Linda Castle said: "We have continued to speak to local residents about issues that matter to them and in this newsletter you will find more information of what we have been doing."
Sarah Sawyer said: "We are continuing to campaign against the poor state of the roads, while also trying to deal with ongoing parking issues or getting overgrown hedges cut back."
Jade Emraz added: "There will be a byelection soon and this is a chance for two hardworking Lib Dem councillors to represent Longlevens."
Labour and Greens did not even stand at the last local elections. The Lib Dems are the clear challengers in Longlevens.
