
Fears over city council finances
Liberal Democrats councillors warning that any further financial shocks during 2023/24 would lead to services being cut to balance the books.
Collette Finnegan is an experienced community champion who has been working hard for Abbeydale’s residents for eight years.
She has worked closely with local community groups in the area and set up the original Abbey Chatty Coffee club. She served as councillor for Abbeydale between 2016 and 2024.
Collette has also long supported Abbey Rovers FC and has helped the club with council grants.
She enjoys helping people and using the skills she learnt working in the NHS in her work as a councillor.
Collette recently joined the Lib Dems because she believes the Conservatives are failing to offer a credible and coherent vision for the people of this great city

The city council announced the move as part of the phased reopening of leisure services in Gloucester after the collapse of the Aspire Trust last month.
Councillor Andrew Lewis, cabinet member for culture and leisure, said he hoped the Barton Pool and the Twyver Pool would be reopened by January 1.
