Council urged to employ street wardens
COUNCIL chiefs are being urged to employ neighbourhood wardens to keep the district's streets "cleaner and safer".

Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.
Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.
Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.
He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

Speeches show Tories split with no clear direction
The Conservative Party has admitted that it made almost no progress at the last general election and that its policies have lost the confidence of the British people. Eight years since they lost office, they are still damaged goods, with falling poll ratings and no clear direction.
