McHugh launch targets the Best!
The Liberal Democrats will offically launch Christine McHugh's Campaign for Mayor on Monday. Lembit Opik MP for Montgomeryshire will speak at the Launch.
Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.
Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.
Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.
He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

On Monday the first Executive Mayor of Watford visited Christine McHugh in Bedford. Dorothy Thornhill, Lib Dem Executive Mayor of Watford gave her backing for Christine's campaign to be Bedford's first Executive Mayor.
Lib Dems on Bedford Borough Council have slammed the council over its failure to deal with the growing homeless problem in the Borough. Latest figures show that there are currently 27 households in Bedford being housed in Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
Christine McHugh, Liberal Democrat Candidate for Mayor of Bedford will welcome Dorothy Thornhill (Watford's Mayor) to Bedford on Monday 9th September. Dorothy Thornhill was elected as the Liberal Democrat Mayor of Watford in May.
"Door to Door concessionary fares must not be allowed to rise above 60 pence" demand local Liberal Democrats.
Lib Dems on Bedford Borough Council are calling for urgent action to save the Borough's green waste recycling scheme. Funding for the scheme is set to end once the initial trial period finishes early in the Autumn. Despite Lib Dem proposals for a last minute rescue package, which would see the trial scheme extended for another twelve months, the council has failed to agree to any plans for further funding.
