Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.

Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.

Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.

He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

Container on its way to help Earthquake Victims!

Well over 1000 boxes of blankets, tents and vital supplies are on their way in a huge 40 foot container to the Bhimber District of Azad Kashmir. The container was filled in a frantic 2 hour effort last Friday involving dozens of local people. Volunteers came from as far as Warrington and Preston to join the local effort.

Government's school plans will create chaos and unfairness

The Liberal Democrats have slammed the Government's latest plans to introduce independent state secondary schools. Edward Davey, Liberal Democrat Shadow Education Secretary said "Whether the Government calls them trust or grant maintained schools, allowing every school the power to select pupils will create chaos and greater unfairness."

Changes to Refuse Collection- Update

Lib Dem councillor Pat Brooks is concerned that some residents did not receive correct information when their refuse collection day changed. Some residents did not receive information leaflets and some collections were missed by the contractors.
