Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.

Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.

Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.

He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

G8 PROTESTORS MAKE FOR EDINBURGH

Protesters began descending on Edinburgh this morning ahead of the G8 summit, to urge the leaders of the world's richest nations to act to tackle climate change and eliminate poverty in Africa. Hopes that the summit will boost aid to Africa were raised yesterday by George Bush's promise to double American aid to the continent. But agreement on climate change appears unlikely with the US seemingly refusing to accept the problem exists.
