Reports Operation Stack has cost Kent Police more than £123,000 in overtime payments this year have led to renewed calls for Highways Agency action.
Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.
Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.
Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.
He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

Kent Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a burglary and serious sexual assault at the home of a 75-year-old woman in Cheriton.
Following the County Council elections on 5th May, the Liberal Democrats on Surrey County Council re-elected Hazel Watson as Group Leader, with Ian Beardsmore as her deputy. Colin Taylor chairs the group and John Doran is treasurer.

Emily Sanger has thanked Harbour residents for their support in the Harbour ward by-election. Emily was elected as the new Town Councillor for Harbour with 54% of the vote. The by-election was called following the resignation of the sitting Folkestone Town Councillor.
