Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.

Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.

Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.

He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

Lib Dems Push Positive Approach To Council

In response to a motion which criticised the elected Mayor, at last Wednesday's Council meeting, Lib Dems tabled an amendment calling for greater cooperation among councillors as well as laying down a set of proposals aimed at moving the borough forward in a positive direction.

Credit where its due

There are several reasons why the Green Liberal Democrats should have an awards scheme. Firstly, the occasion should serve to raise the profile of the organisation itself. Secondly, the award-winners will be granted a title that they can hopefully use in their own subsequent campaigning (being able to put "Green Campaigner of the Year" or something similar on all your election literature isn't exactly going to do you any harm!).
