Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.

Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.

Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.

He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

MP calls for cricket to be live for everyone!

Rochdale's Lib Dem MP - Paul Rowen is calling for the Government to take steps to keep cricket "live" on every television set in the country. Paul has reacted with fury after it was revealed that the current Ashes Series will be the last live cricket to be shown on terrestrial television till at least 2009 . Paul has given his support to the all party consensus that live cricket needs to remain on terrestrial TV by drafting an Early Day Motion. He is calling for the England and Wales Cricket Board to renegotiate the live rights to ensure everyone can enjoy live cricket.

A new initiative by Kent Police has been introduced to give rural communities the opportunity to help make their villages safer by monitoring traffic speeds on their roads. Speed Watch is designed to give parish councils around the county a chance to sign up to a scheme to record the speed of vehicles travelling through their area.
