Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.

Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.

Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.

He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

Lib Dems gain ground in Romney Marsh

A big swing of 11% took Lib Dem Sylvia Oiller to a close finish in the Romney Marsh By-election. The Conservatives saw their 200+ majority in May fall to just 76 votes. Labour finished in a very poor third place with just 9% of the vote.

Stunning success for Lib Dems in Littlestone and Greatstone

The Lib Dems have won the New Romney Coast by-election with an amazing swing from the Conservatives. Local woman Ann Birchmore romped home with nearly 50% of the vote, with the Conservatives trailing behind with just 44%. Labour finished in a poor third place with just 8% of the vote.
