MP visit highlights problems for older people
Older people deserve a better deal says Sandra Gidley MP. The Lib Dem Spokesperson for Older People recently visited our area and visited a care home with local campaigner Peter Carroll.
Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.
Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.
Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.
He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

Commenting on the Government's formal response to the Environmental Audit Committee's report on GM crops, Sue Doughty MP, Liberal Democrat member of the committee, said:
The Scottish Parliament today approved the Nature Conservation Bill. Environment and Rural Development Minister Ross Finnie called it a major step forward in improving the conservation of Scotland's natural heritage.
Scottish Liberal Democrat Environment Spokesperson Nora Radcliffe MSP today welcomed approval by the Scottish Parliament of the Nature Conservation Bill.
Council listens to local people on public toilets
