Historic Win for Lib Dem Will Forster

Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.
Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.
Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.
He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

Leader of Stockport Council, Cllr Mark Hunter, has asked for Andy Burnham to follow through on his long-term pledge to back Metrolink in Stockport.
At its July full Council meeting, Stockport Liberal Democrats resolved to call on the Government to remove the two-child benefit cap, a measure widely seen as the quickest and most effective measure to lift thousands of children out of poverty.
Stockport Liberal Democrats have called upon the Government to provide necessary funds to invest in the Council leisure estate, including Grand Central pool in the town centre.
