Childcare desert: Liverpool sees 539 childcare places lost since 2019
There has been a 539 fall in the number of childcare places in Liverpool since 2019, House of Commons Library research commissioned by the Liberal Democrats has revealed.
Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.
Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.
Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.
He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has warmly welcomed today’s news that Coniston has been awarded bathing water status. In March last year, the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) rejected bids for bathing water status for Coniston.
