Sewage dumping in Plymouth reaches 16,032 hours in 2023
New figures analysing sewage dumped in Council areas have revealed that sewage was dumped into waterways in Plymouth for 16,032 hours in 2023.
Councillor Caroline Courtney and Joshua Hanley are part of the Liberal Democrat team for Tuffley.
Caroline, who lives on Stroud Road near to St Barnabas Church, was first elected to the city council in May 2021. She is the cabinet member for culture and leisure.
Joshua Hanley grew up in Tuffley, went to local schools and is now raising his family here.
He is a sports coach and has helped run local football teams.

New analysis of Home Office statistics by the Liberal Democrats has shown that a staggering 215,933 burglaries went unsolved across England and Wales in 2023 - an average of 592 a day.
Responding to Mark Harper's claims that the plan is still working, Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader Daisy Cooper MP said:

Responding to the news that the Liberal Democrats have won more seats than the Conservatives at the 2024 Local Elections, which has only ever happened once before in 1996, Liberal Democrat Leader Ed Davey MP said:
For the first time since 1996 the Liberal Democrats won more seats than the Conservatives in the Local Elections.
